      The Process

      Buyers create a RFQ by inputting requirements and uploading drawings and specifications. The buyer selects the processes they require along with location and accreditation requirements.

      All registered Suppliers whose capabilities match the process requirements of the buyer are notified that an opportunity to quote on a job suiting their expertise has been lodged.

      Supplier assesses RFQ details, digitally signs NDA if required, downloads drawings and specifications needed to formulate a quote.

      Supplier submits their quote to the system before the nominated closing date. ManufactureLink is not an auction. Only the buyer sees the submitted quotes and suppliers cannot alter their quote once submitted.

      Buyer reviews quotes received in an easy to compare format and is able to carry out online ‘due diligence’ by reviewing a supplier’s reputation through our ratings system and viewing their web snapshot or the company website.
      v The buyer awards a quote and can supply feedback to failed quotes if desired. The system also automatically provides feedback to all unsuccessful suppliers on how their quote fared.

      The buyer prints out a purchase order requisition. Suppliers can print out a job request sheet for their workshop scheduling.
      Suppliers can create a task list and update the progress of each task or the entire project. The buyer is able to view the progress of their job as it is manufactured.

      At completion of the job, both buyers and suppliers are encouraged to rate each other’s performance.
